The planning and materials required to facilitate workshops effectively. The tools in your toolbox.
These are the tools needed to effectively facilitate workshops with confidence, even if you have little or no prior experience with group facilitation. Imagine that your toolbox begins with the undergraduate and graduate courses you have completed, the countless hours and days of hard work and sacrifice you have made in your profession to make a difference in the lives of your students, and your confidence after years of teaching.
Every workshop will include a team-building activity. This is necessary because you are shaping the relationship and experience. If the experience of parental involvement has been less than favorable, each workshop should have a fun and inspiring activity that will begin to change participants’ understanding and motivate them to return. You will need to acquire a large bin with a cover and a handheld cart to easily transport the bin. Inside the container, store your tools or workshop activity items and any documents related to workshop goals and outcomes.
The following items should be included in the contents of your toolbox bin:
1. consent forms,
2. surveys,
3. TG4S apparel, and
4. Vouchers for free and reduced-priced items.
TG4S model is universal and applicable to all schools. Contact us at togetr4success@gmail.com or call us at (860) 706-7935
