The question of, how does a teacher leverage parent involvement to achieve teaching goals and objectives? This book will attempt to offer some suggestions; however, each circumstance is different. Despite progress made with eliminating barriers, there will be parents who will refuse to participate, and there will be students who struggle academically and whose behavior presents continued challenges.
The key to human motivation is a desirable experience. Parents have to want to be involved. Workshops create the first step. However, the long-term reward for the parents will be demonstrated student academic improvement and consistent satisfactory behavior as observed and reported by parents and teachers.
